So this is probably mostly for my benefit to help me remember some of the fun times with my kids. Colby and I decided that before the baby comes (yes I said baby I know I haven't even mentioned him at all, but he is expected to arrive April 20th) anyways before the baby comes that we wanted to take Jaxson and Kayci out for their first dates... Jaxson was first he wanted to go dinner at the training table and then to a movie, well we didn't see any movies that looked great so he decided to go to Chuck E Cheese. It was so fun to see him light up as we dropped Kayci off and headed out for some fun, we had pizza and Jaxson and Colby played all the games they could handle. Then he wanted to go get a doughnut, try getting a donut at 10:00 at night it's impossible after 1 grocery store and 2 gas stations we finally found a stale doughnut. It was such a fun time and he is already planning his next date.
Jaxson enjoying the warm weatherAbout a week later we took Kayci out for her date, and get this of all the places to eat she chose Panda Express (I love that my kids like food I do.) Next, we thought it would be fun to take her to build a bear (I was a little hesitant because it's a little pricey, but she loved it). She picked out a pink monkey and named it "Polka Dot" no it does not have any dots, but she came up with the name all on her own and brings it with her everywhere.
Kayci and cousin "Ty-Ty"It was such a great chance to spend one on one time with our kids, I know that with this new little one on the way it will be harder to find that one on one time, but I hope to continue this tradition with my kids for years and years to come. I love being a mother and have the greatest kids ever. Jaxson is so sweet and always thinks of his sister. At school or primary whenever he gets a treat he always saves some for her, and Kayci loves being with her Brudder, she always wants to sit by him or play him and it's so great to see how they take care of one another and the excitement they share for this new little one on the way. I know this was a long post, but I have so much to be grateful for-my kids and husband are on top of the list, I could go on and on about all the fun things they say or the many things Colby does, I love my family and am so grateful to have them in my life.

I loved this post. It is the Mandy I know & love I am going to have to steal the date night Idea I love it. You do have great kids and a great husband we miss you all and can't wait to see you in 25 days. Love ya
ReplyDeleteKayci's hair is so long! She's such a doll. I thought about you this week. I was searching for a golf partner. (Hubby working, etc.) I thought of you and your lovely pregnant belly. :) I wasn't sure if you would be comfortable swinging a club. When we get back this fall - we should definitely go sometime!
